A Savelkoul & Co – popularly referred to as Savelkouls – was established in 1898 and is a proud purveyor of fine menswear, including ranges of superior-quality imported attire.  The business comprises two stores in Pretoria, South Africa.

Specialising primarily in men’s clothing and accessories for the discerning gentleman, Savelkouls now also offers a limited range of ladies’ knitwear and hats.

Although time has seen changes to the way people shop and clothing has become mass-produced, there is a yearning for long-lived traditions and dying craftsmanship.  There is a desire for the sartorial elegance of a bygone era, but with careful consideration to current styles and trends. 

At Savelkouls we are attuned to this nostalgia and those needs, but most of all we understand the importance of the cut and the fit, as well as the finer details of elegant dressing and custom tailoring.  We blend the traditions of the past with the needs of the modern customer, offering clothes that make them feel and look good and ready to face the modern world. 

In our desire to offer excellent-quality menswear we choose our suppliers carefully, and it is rather fitting that, like ourselves, many of these companies have themselves been in business for over a century.
